Black Cat Roofing is a family owned and operated business and has been since 1987. That means we have been professionally servicing the roofs of Sydney for 20 years!

Black Cat Roofing is a fully qualified, licensed and insured company which covers all aspects of roofing from the smallest repair on residential properties to the re-roofing of large industrial and commercial installations.

Black Cat Roofing's prime undertaking is the task of the safe removal and disposal of asbestos roof sheeting. This is all done in accordance with the ridged handling guidelines of the Environmental Protection Agency and Occupational Health and Safety Policies.

If you are worried about losing valuable production time if you have a factory or a manufacturing facility, there is no need. We will do all removal and replacement safely and without disrupting your daily operation.
We specialize in all forms of roof construction. More of our services include repairing, re-roofing, membrane coatings, waterproofing and gutter cleaning. Our team can carry out all forms of guttering, downpipes and drainage work. We will even clean out your gutters on a regular basis to prevent any problems that may arise from debris blockage.

For residential clients we can smarten up your home with all types of wall cladding, fascia paneling, fascia cladding and soffit linings. We can supply and install turbo vents, whirly birds. We can just as easily install skylights using only recognized industry favourites such as Alsynite, polycarbonate, Velux and Sky Dome.

Commercial & Residential Projects

Black Cat Roofing has successfully completed the asbestos cement removal and re-roofing of more than 20,000 square meters in the past 18 months.

Some of these projects were completed in record time and under many arduous conditions.

Here are some examples;

The roof was approximately 8,000sqm of asbestos cement roof sheeting. The time frame in which we had to strip and re-lay was 10 days! Being a large confectionary manufacturing plant, there were many strict guidelines which we needed to ensure were adhered to. Black Cat Roofing completed the successful re-roof in the specified time and all parties concerned were more than happy with the outcome. by Robert

Another project was the re-roof of a particularly high saw tooth roof, 3 saw tooth’s in total. Works needed to be carried out during the Christmas and New Year shut down of the factory. With all WorkCover & OH&S guidelines in place, a representative of WorkCover visited the site to inspect proceedings. WorkCover was in all respects very happy with Black Cat Roofing’s standard of work and care of all the asbestos material and workmanship of the re-roof.

Our most challenging project was to install a new roof over an existing old metal roof at a large manufacturing plant housing highly flammable products. Here we had a myriad of chemicals and flammable products which needed to be protected during the strip and re-lay of the roof. Black Cat was not allowed to use any powered equipment or tools, as these produce static electricity which would be very dangerous in this type of facility. All work was carried out using air/pneumatic tools connected to the on-site compressor. The strip and re-roof (inclusive of over one hundred penetrations) was carried out during normal operation hours with no interruption to production.
